The SPIRE deployment team have met with each individual NHS Board to discuss requirements for software installation, training and switch-on.
The deployment of SPIRE has started in February 2016.
To fully take into account requirements and conflicting priorities in NHS Boards, an agile approach to managing the order and timing of installs, training and switch-on will be applied.
Following an initial meeting with NHS Board IT facilitators, a technical workshop takes place, in which SPIRE is installed at the Board and then at Pathfinder practices. Depending on Board feedback and requirements, the team have also offered walkthroughs, additional technical workshop and advice.
Deployment in each Board will be followed by facilitator and practice training as discussed with the individual NHS Boards and according to their requirements. This phased approach offers Boards a great deal of flexibility.
In addition, SPIRE team members regularly communicate with and present to IT facilitators, Information Leads and other NHS Board representatives at local and national conferences and meetings.
